Betahistine Dihydrochloride (CAS-RN 5579-84-0) is a histamine analogue. It is commonly used to treat Ménière’s syndrome, a condition that causes vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss in people who suffer from this disease. The medication can also treat other balance disorders. The Betahistine Dihydrochloride improves blood flow in the inner ear, reducing pressure and hence treating the symptoms.
